We begin with a conversation about your concerns, medical history and everyday life. A TCM assessment also includes looking at the tongue and feeling the pulse.
Together, we discuss treatment and the next steps. Please allow a total of 90 minutes for your first appointment; further appointments usually last 60 minutes.

Acupuncture involves inserting fine needles at selected points on the body. It is a method of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Tuina, also called Tui Na, is a manual method of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is also known as Chinese massage. It includes various hand techniques such as stroking, grasping and pressing.

Cupping: Cupping glasses are placed on the skin. Suction is created inside the glass.
Gua Sha: In this traditional method, a suitable instrument is stroked over the skin.
Moxibustion (Moxa): Dried mugwort is used as a heat source at selected acupuncture points.

Shōnishin is a Japanese treatment method for children. Small instruments are moved over the skin with stroking or tapping movements, without inserting acupuncture needles.
Please discuss your child’s concerns with me beforehand so that we can determine whether this method may be suitable.
